Dear Brothers, Sisters, Children and Family Members,

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

On the eve of this blessed month of Ramadan 2020, our Jamaat like all the others around the world are facing challenges brought about by the COVID 19 pandemic.

As Believers of Islam, everything is by the will of Allah. We do not question his actions nor inactions. He is All- Knowing, Most Gracious and Most Merciful.

We have to abide by the New York State laws which prohibit public congregation. As such there will be no Iftar and dinners and no nightly Taraweeh Salaah.

We shall all remain in our homes and observe all the practices associated with this blessed month.  Please be reminded that Allah’s blessings are showered and multiplied through our thoughts, words and actions.

Being at home allows us the opportunity to be closer to Allah Subhanallahu a’tala. We are not obligated to pursue worldly affairs such as school and work.

Please be reminded that your democratically elected Board of Executive members are here for you and your family.

On behalf of our Jamaat, Imam the Board and Sisters Group and my family, I would like to extend Ramadan Mubarak to everyone.

May Allah continue to shower his blessings and mercies upon us all.

Aftaab Ali
