President Message
Assalamo Alaikum
Bismillaa-hir-Rahmaa-nir-Raheem
My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
During this blessed month of Ramadan, we as Believers have undergone a most unique experience in our culture. Due to social distancing and inaccessibility to our masjid, our lives revolved around our families at home. For some of us it was a period of self-reflection and evaluation of ourselves. We are in the final days of Ramadan and life, as we know will be anything but normal. The Corona-19 pandemic has brought powerful nations and countries to their feet. We know all things are from Allah and we do not question them.
Our masjid will still be functioning and be accessible based on our State of New York health advisory. Our obligations for Zakaat, Sadaqa-ul-Fitr and other masjid expenses will be collected as directed by the Executive Board. Special pledges and donations are welcome, and donors can contact the President, Secretary or Treasurer to make the necessary arrangements.
There will be no congregational Eid-Ul-Fitr Salaat but we can still celebrate this most important event with our families.
On behalf of our Jamaat, Imam Executive Board and my family, I would like to extend Eid Mubarak greetings to everyone and for us to continue being safe.
Inshallah
Aftaab Ali
