1. Reminder fund raising bus excursion trip planned by the sister’s committee to Catskill Mountain is this Saturday 9/13, bus leaves from the Masjid at 7am, please be on time. For further information please contact the (3) members of this committee, Sisters Shahnaz (646-220-8448), Zorisha or Nazroon.
2. Because of the bus excursion trip, there will be no brothers & sisters Tajweed classes & no Ta’leem classes this Saturday, all classes will resume next week Insha Allah, please remind those who are not here today.
3. Masjid fund raising Bar-B-Q at the Masjid is on Saturday October 18th, tickets are now available from any member of the executive, ticket price is $8.00. All proceeds goes towards the maintenance of the masjid. Help us to maintain the house of Allah, all donations accepted to defray the expense cost & you can contact the President, Imam, Secretary or Treasurer if you wish to make a donation.
4. Madrasah classes for the children continues this Sunday September 14th beginning at 9am, all new students welcome, for further info contact any of the teachers.
5. Update on our pledges from our March 30th fund raiser dinner, there are (9) members who have not fulfill their pledges totaling approx, 3,600.00. We are making a final appeal before calling & asking those members to submit their pledges by month end. If you cannot remember who you are, please contact the treasurer (Fazil) or secretary- Wazir). If you will be fulfilling your pledges or not, or have a timetable when you will be please let them know, we thank you all in advance.
6. We are making an appeal to all regular & non regular members of the Jamaat, kindly keep the masjid clean at all times & assist us in whatever you can do in keeping the property clean. We have a building maintenance committee, if you wish to volunteer for our regular clean up every Thursday please contact Brother Rasheed at (347-279-5961)
7. In your dua today we ask that you remember all those brothers & sisters from our Jamaat & community who are sick. Also all the Muslim’s around the world who are affected by war & hardship, we ask Allah to make it easy for them.
8. The khateeb for next week Insha Allah is Maulana Abdullah & today is Shaikh Abdul Hafeez- CIOG.
